On XXVII, album that christens Veia Records, record label created the Lisbon musician, João Alegria's guitar is brandished like a torch of stubborn light traveling the narrow path of the dark inside night, which thickens the closer the image of the door is seen. narrow (Matthew 7.13,14), the one that opens to life, where everyone can enter, but rare are those who agree with it, as this implies an absolute stripping of all the illusory garments of which a man is made. For thirty-odd minutes, in a transformative inner gesture, João tries to restore the childlike clarity to a heart full of dirty and old darkness, exorcising an infestation of numerous and nameless demons, embracing us at the end with a subtle smile of one who welcomes us back to the world, after his and our rebirth. Revisiting Genet and the metaphor of the wound of creation and of existence, both one and the same blood, João Alegria knows with increasing certainty of where his own is located, but now he impedes, with the serene passion of the masters, the everything that infects and closes it from entering. Life is therefore a wide open conversation.
